We held the first Benchmarking meeting of 2026 with the participation of representatives from Turkish Shipping companies operating chemical tankers. Miklagard was represented at the meeting by DPA Capt. Mustafa Durmaz and Deputy DPA Capt. Tuğrul ŞEREMET.
This year’s first meeting was organized under the moderation of MRC Mercan Holding HSEQ Manager Capt. Melisa Özen Tayar, and we were kindly hosted by Prof. Dr. Ozcan Arslan, Dean of ITU Maritime Faculty. We extend our sincere thanks to both of them.
During the meeting, a wide range of important information and experiences were shared, including inspection results—primarily SIRE, CDI, and PSC—sample incident reports, newly implemented and upcoming regulations, and many other sector-related topics. However, one of the most emphasized subjects was the Human Factor. Our ultimate aim is to ensure that seafarers complete their contracts under comfortable and safe conditions and return to their families in good health and safely.
On this occasion, we wish all seafarers calm seas and safe voyages.
